Quimbaya is a Colombian municipality located in the western part of the department of Quindío. It is located 20 km northwest of the department capital, Armenia.

The most important cultural event is the National Festival of the Candles and Lanterns Contest, which began in 1982 and is celebrated every year on December 7th and 8th (Día de las Velitas).
